This is an undated photo of a sketch of Gen. Ulysses S. Grant. Grant led the Union Army to victory during the American Civil War, and accepted the Confederate surrender at Appomattox Court House in 1865. He was made full general in 1866, and was elected U.S. President in 1868 and 1872. (AP Photo)
