NAVY CORSAIRS
© Associated Press
A flight of Navy Corsairs from the fast carrier USS Boxer roars through the skies over the Japan Sea on August 31, 1951. These fighter bombers are headed for front lines in Central Korea where they will give close support to U.N. troops, bombing, napalming and rocketing enemy troop concentrations and commie-infested ridges. Flying the Corsairs are Naval Reserve pilots formerly based at the Naval Air Stations at Olathe, Kansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. (AP Photo)
